Assistant Head Teacher Vacancy
Phase Leader Lead
Pay Range L12-16 (outer London)
Cedars Manor is a popular and thriving primary school in the middle of Harrow Weald. Our diverse community, brand new building and enthusiastic learners make this a very attractive place to work.
Ofsted recently (October 2019) commented “Pupils enjoy coming to school. Staff welcome them with warmth and kindness. Leaders and teachers strive to provide the very best possible education for all pupils.”
We are currently looking for an Assistant Head Teacher to join our team. The role is for someone to not only lead a phase within the school (this may reflect the successful candidate’s own experience) but to line manage, coach and mentor the 3 other phase leaders in school.
The successful candidate will support the professional development of other middle leaders within the school. This role also includes induction for new members of staff and NQTs.
There will be some class teaching responsibilities up to 3.5 days/week. We are looking for someone who:
- Is an outstanding practitioner
- Has successful experience in leading whole school initiatives
- Is ambitious for the school and its pupils
- Has strong people and communication skills
- Is imaginative, innovative and inspiring
- Has a strong commitment to their own personal professional development
In return we offer a modern working environment, committed and knowledgeable governors, strong community links, strong sense of team work and a school that is popular locally.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. All applicants will be required to produce two suitable referees as part of the application.
Visits are welcome. Please contact the school office to agree a mutually convenient time.
Closing date for applications: Noon, Monday 9th March 2020
Assessment and interviews: dates to be confirmed.
