From January 2021 the Governors and Headteacher of Thanet Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher and ambitious school leader to the post of Assistant Headteacher.
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Assistant Headteacher to join our passionate, experienced, Senior Leadership Team.
As Assistant Headteacher you will help to shape the future vision of the school, promote excellence, equality and the highest expectations for our children and staff.
You will bring strong ambition, drive and an endeavour to achieve excellent outcomes for all our pupils. You will be able to work with our highly focused and energetic Deputy Headteacher to inspire, lead and motivate our talented staff team and be focused on ensuring, ‘Through high expectations, challenge and support we develop positive attitudes, celebrate success and support everyone to aim high.’ You will help identify new opportunities to shape and guide our journey as a provider of high quality education in the local and wider community we serve.
Specific responsibilities of our Assistant Headteacher are determined depending on their strengths. However, the successful candidate will work with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to co-lead on any of the following areas: Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Behaviour for Learning and values-based interactions, Child Protection and Safeguarding according to the needs of the school. The post will involve having a 0.5 class responsibility.
