Assistant SENDCo/Assistant Head of Learning Development Faculty
MPR/UPR + TLR 2B (£4655 p.a.)
Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we have an excellent opportunity for a highly competent and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. This is required from the start of the Summer Term 2020, but an Autumn Term start may be possible.
This is an ideal post for those with experience of SEND or wishing to specialise in the teaching of students with SEND, and also have the ability and willingness to develop leadership skills further, taking on some of the responsibilities of a SENDCo, obviously with support and training.
Soar Valley is an outstanding school. Ofsted said ‘teaching is exemplary’ and ‘students are proud to belong to the college’. Outcomes here are excellent; Progress 8 measures are significantly above the national average and regularly in the highest 20% of all schools. The thing we are most proud of however, is our unique and caring ethos, which inspires success for all, making this a great school at which to continue your teaching career. We are an incredibly strong team, working together to ensure the very best outcomes for the children in our care, and doing so very well.
Working at Soar Valley means you will benefit from:
- Working with an exceptional SENDCo, who is highly trained and has recently been very highly commended in an external review.
- Being part of a highly effective team. We have a strong programme of professional development, and a strong sense of collective efficacy.
- Working with a team of highly committed staff who go above and beyond for our students
- A highly motivated, vibrant and culturally mixed student body, with very positive relationships between staff and students.
- Outstanding facilities.
Please see our website for further details. Interested candidates are welcome to visit the school before making an application should they wish. To arrange a visit please contact Smita Stone, SLT PA
