Middleton St Mary's are looking for an assistant site superintendent, looking after the school and the school grounds at the end of the day, locking up the school. The role will also involve cleaning the hall and setting up with tables and benches for breakfast club, emptying bins, basic site maintenance.
As part of the role, we would like the person to work with groups of children aged 7-11 gardening and growing produce for them to use in their cookery lessons with the future aim of developing Forest Schools for the pupils at Middleton St Mary's. The roll is term time only, however there would be opportunity to gain extra hours during the school holidays.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:
Demonstrate previous experience and ‘DIY skills’ to identify, monitor and carry out minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration.
Demonstrate knowledge of moving and handling procedures and be physically able to carry out the physical tasks of the role (e.g. lifting, shifting, clearing snow etc).
Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and hygiene procedures and precautions.
Awareness of COSHH regulations, applying knowledge gained as appropriate.
Demonstrate good communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, governors, pupils, contractors and outside users of the school (hirers).
