Associate Adviser for Languages, Literacy & Communication
(Secondary English / Literacy)
1-year Secondment or Temporary Contract – Full time or part time
to commence as soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint a talented and experienced secondary middle leader to join our School Improvement Team as Development Officer for secondary English and Literacy.
This post will be required to work with challenge advisers, schools and local authorities to ensure the Central South region becomes an outstanding place for teaching, school leadership and pupils’ achievement, whilst supporting the development of school-to-school working.
This successful candidate will have oversight and responsibility for the development of excellent teaching and learning in the Languages, Literacy & Communication area of learning and experience, particularly in secondary English and literacy. The successful candidate will, through the identification of strong practice, develop school networks, lead practitioners and hub schools for the construction of differentiated and tailored support programmes to meet regional and national needs.
Applications are welcome from excellent teachers and middle leaders with a proven track record in raising standards in English and literacy. Candidates must also be aware of national, CSC, Local Authority and school priorities and their implications for developing the workforce in schools at all levels.
