We are looking for an ambitious and experienced professional to play a key role in developing the quality of teaching and learning across the secondary phase, including initiatives focussed on professional development opportunities. The successful candidate will also be a member of the Senior Leadership Team on the secondary campus and will contribute to whole-school planning and development.
Our ideal candidate will have vision, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and an ability to help us embed literacy across all year groups and subjects. The post will carry a 50% teaching commitment and candidates should be able to teach their subject up to GCSE level.
The role will offer the opportunity for innovation in teaching and new implementing new approaches to the professional development of teaching; responsibility for developing the quality of teaching, including programmes of lesson observations; responsibility for developing methods for assessing pupil progress and supporting pupil progress; contributing, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, under the direction of an Assistant Headteacher, to the overall strategic leadership of the secondary campus.
