We have a rare and exciting career opportunity for the right individual to join our hugely successful, expanding and ambitious automotive team as an Automotive Lecturer. You will be delivering automotive theory and practical training/assessment in both the classroom and our newly opened automotive workshop. You will also be actively involved in the departments future developments, which will see our provision expand into larger workshops as we focus on new technologies to keep pace with the ever changing industry and the need to train competent technicians ready for the future.
The ability to set targets, support and mentor young people and adults to achieve their best results, is a key requirement of the role. You will also help them develop an understanding of the industry and career prospects whilst building their skills for day to day life.
Preferably you will have experience in a similar role, although full teacher training will be provided to applicants coming straight from industry. You should have a wide-ranging knowledge of the industry and new technologies which is supported by an up to date CPD record.

You will be responsible for delivering an engaging an impactful training programme to students aged from 14 years of age, on a potential mix of full time, school partnership, adult and apprentice training programmes.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to Level 3 or above (Master Technician status an advantage) as well as hold a teaching Qualification, e.g. PGCE, Certificate of Education, DTTLS or equivalent.
Alternatively, if you are looking for a career change we are happy to support individuals from industry to complete their teacher training qualification alongside working full time.
