Job title: Behaviour Support Officer
Salary: Grade 6 (scp 11-17) £21,166-£23,836 pro rata
Hours: 37 hours/week, Term time (8am-4.30pm)
The governors of this successful 11-18 school wish to appoint a Behaviour Support Officer to work as part of the strong pastoral team. The postilion is temporary for 1 year in the fist instance.
This new and exciting role will focus on the promotion of positive behaviour and attendance across the school. Applicants will need excellent communication and organisational skills in order to support pupils to ensure positive outcomes. The successful candidate will be a role model to pupils and possess the drive and commitment to work with identified pupils to ensure they reach their full potential.
Experience of working with children and young people is a must.
In its ESTYN Inspection of March 2017, Gowerton was graded ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’ - the two top grades - in all five of the inspection areas, reflecting the school’s high academic and pastoral standards. The Welsh Government, for the 4th consecutive year, has awarded the school Green A categorisation.

Interviews will take place in the week beginning 12th August 2019.
The successful candidate will be required to start on 1st September 2019.
