Wales International School in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an experienced Social Worker to work in our boys' section.
We are a growing British Curriculum school on the outskirts of the city. We have around 830 learners, mainly of Emirati background. Our children are in FS2 - Year 11.
The candidate will work alongside the Academic and Student Support teams to support the learners during their time with us Main responsibilities will be to monitor attendance, behaviour and to manage relationships with parents, as well as child protection and safeguarding responsibilities.
They will address the needs of the school, student, families and the community by collaborating with the Student Support Team to design a holistic approach to barriers to learning or problems with the educational process.
They will provide services to students which builds on individual strengths and offers students maximum opportunities to participate in the planning and direction of their own learning experience.
This position requires a bi-lingual Arabic/English speaker.
