Permanent: From 7.5 to 23.75 hours per week, various patterns considered. Please specify availability on application.
Mornings from 7.30 to 9am
Afternoons from 3.00 to 6pm
Term time only
Salary: PS3 FTE £17,663 to £18,607 pro rata dependent on contract
Bank staff: wanted for more popular sessions, hours may vary
Hourly rate: from £9.40 per hour
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join St Lawrence C of E Primary School as a Playworker at our school-run breakfast and after school clubs.
With the primary purpose of providing our families with a reliable, professional and competitively priced provision, we are looking for an individual who can not only fulfil this requirement but who can also establish and maintain a fun, happy, and secure environment for the children.
You will be passionate about working with children and watching them thrive under your care, and be dynamic, driven and committed with a child centred approach.
- Motivate and inspire children aged between 4 and 11 years of age
- Actively engage in a variety of activities
- Ensure the health and safety of children and colleagues at all times
- Assist with planning programmes and lead activities to actively engage the children
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents
- Prepare appropriate food and drink
In return we can offer you training in paediatric first aid, safeguarding, and food hygiene, as well as providing support and input from our experienced and friendly staff. Further training opportunities may be available for the the right candidate.
Successful applicants with children attending St Lawrence will be eligible for one free child place for sessions worked.
