The Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust is currently looking for a reliable, flexible, practical and friendly Site Assistant to cover their 3 Schools that make up the Bristol Education Hub on a permanent basis.
The Bristol Education Hub has an office at Easton C of E Academy (BS5), which it covers along with Fishponds CE Academy (BS16) and St Mary Redcliffe C of E Primary School (BS3). As a Site Assistant you would be required to carry out work as required on all 3 sites.
Due to having to commute between sites the suitable applicant should ideally be able to drive and have access to their own transport or have another means of moving between sites as necessary.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to be part of an enthusiastic, friendly and supportive Estates and Facilities Team as well as as each individual school and the communities that they serve, all working together to improve the education and lives of their pupils.
The role is for a minimum of 15 hours a week (split as needed across the 3 schools) with the possibility of paid overtime for any additional hours worked, together with an emergency call out payment (if applicable) .
Overseen by the Bristol Estates and Facilities Business Partner and working alongside the Site Managers for individual schools, the Site Assistant will be responsible for generally maintaining the buildings and grounds to ensure they are in good working order and compliant with Health and Safety requirements as well as supervising on site contractors and carryout general repairs to the building and equipment.
Basic IT skills will be required in order to use in house systems for monitoring and recording purposes although full training and support will be given.
This role is permanent and due to the nature of the role there is a large scope for flexibility in start and finish times which would suit somebody looking for a role that would fit in with their current lifestyle or if they have commitments elsewhere that they needed to work around.
The role had been advertised as term time only (38 weeks a year) plus 20 days (4 weeks) but for the right candidate, an opportunity to work all year round could be a possibility.
If interested in this role, please call one of the schools that the role covers and ask to speak to Emma Tilley, the Estates and Facilities Business Partner who will be able to talk through all of the option and working patterns available.
As part of the growing Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust we are able to offer :
- the support of a committed leadership team

- high quality training
- a welcoming, friendly and cohesive staff team
- delightful, appreciative enthusiastic children and the support and encouragement of our friendly and aspirational parents and carers
Email and phone enquiries are encouraged and welcomed to any of the schools
