The Park School wishes to appoint for April 2020 a well-qualified and enthusiastic Bursar. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, energetic and able person to join the staff of this well-established independent school. The successful candidate is expected to be in sympathy with the aims of independent education within a Christian context.
The Bursar is responsible to The Head and accountable to The Chair of Governors and has responsibility for the non-academic functions of the school and for ensuring that academic activities can take place in a well-ordered environment.

Salary will be between £40,000 and £45,000 pa, depending on experience and the successful candidate will be eligible to join the school’s pension scheme.
A permanent, full-time position which is subject to a two term probationary period during which the period of notice will be four weeks. Thereafter, the period of notice would be one term.
The Bursar will be required to work from 8.30am to 6pm but there may be occasions when the workload will demand additional hours. The Bursar may for certain events, occasionally need to be available to parents outside normal school hours, during term time. The Bursar must live close to the school, ideally within a 15 mile radius.
35 working days pa, in consultation with The Head.
