We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Hub Business Manager (Finance) to join our central Business team. This role is offered at 16 hours per week - working 4 days per week, between 10am – 2pm, on a term time only basis, plus Inset days and an additional 2 weeks of cover during the school holidays, totalling 41 weeks of the year. The actual take home salary will be £12,457 per annum.
Reporting to our Head of Business Operations, with general direction and supervision received from the Headteacher(s), you will be the main provider of financial services to two primary schools within the Olympus Academy Trust – Callicroft Primary School and Stoke Lodge Primary School. You will be an integral part of each School, splitting your time equally to ensure you support the effective management and operation of both schools. There will be a high level of personal responsibility for the day to day delivery of the school’s financial systems and processes and you will be expected to use initiative to anticipate requirements and deal with situations as they arise.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of the effective management of multiple tasks within a busy and fast-paced office environment with high interruption levels, combined with demonstrable and extensive knowledge of financial control including budget management and the ability to translate and interpret information. You will have exceptional standards of literacy, accuracy and numeracy skills and be able to work quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision.
First class communication skills and the ability to build effective and appropriate relationships with children and adults is essential, as is your ability to work collaboratively and constructively as part of a team and with a wide range of audiences, understanding school roles and responsibilities.
You will hold a NVQ level 4 or equivalent relevant qualification with a financial element and/or a Certificate or Diploma in School Business Management would be desirable.
