City Academy is a forward thinking Academy based in East Bristol. City Academy provides education to 680 students Key Stages 2, 3 and 4. The students at City Academy are excited to learn and are real ambassadors for our diverse community. They benefit from a hugely positive and supporting learning environment.
The role of the Careers and Aspirations Co-ordinator will be to further embed careers across the Academy. There will be four key strands to consider, all of which should contribute to meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks:
Ensure that employability is embedded into the Academy’s curriculum and culture.
Ensure 100% of students have appropriate destinations, reporting to the LA and the Academy SLT.
Provide high quality and impartial careers information, advice and guidance (IAG) to students.
Develop employability skills in students; linking with local businesses to ensure that opportunities are offered for work placements and enrichment within and beyond school

About the Academy & Cabot Learning Federation
The Cabot Learning Federation is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. We currently are sponsoring academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Weston-Super-Mare; six secondary, eight primary, one all-through academy and a Studio School. The Federation also has an overarching CLF Post 16 and specialist inclusion centres. Together we educate over 9000 children between the ages of 3 and 19 and the Federation is a major Teaching School in the South West.
City Academy Bristol is part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF). City Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF). The CLF is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. The CLF currently sponsors 14 academies, eight of which are secondary, five are primary and one is a studio school catering for students aged 14 to 19.
