Whilst we appreciate the unique setting in which the Academy is placed, we work hard to challenge students from a variety of backgrounds to be the best they can be in all areas of life. The Academy was placed in special measures by Ofsted in October 2017; however, since that time we have been on a rapid improvement journey. Ofsted have visited three times to monitor progress and on each occasion have been impressed by the actions leaders have taken to address the areas for improvement. In November 2019 Ofsted judged Hanham Woods Academy to be ‘Good’.
