Permanent, 37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year
Salary: Grade 4, SCP 5-9, £19,312 per annum
If weekend working is required it is paid at time plus 30%
Hours: In the first instance it will be 11.00 am until 7.00 pm, Monday to Thursday and 11.00 am until 6.30 pm on a Friday
From September 2021 the successful person will be required to work on a shift pattern alongside another caretaker, this may also include weekend work.
Cefn Saeson wishes to appoint a Caretaker as soon as possible. This is an exciting time for the school as we will be moving into a new building at the beginning of June 2021. The new school will compromise of the Phase 1 completion, this will include the new school building and partial completion of the external grounds. Phase 2 (completion date Sept 2022) will finalise the build with the demolition of the old school and the reinstatement of sports playing areas.
The person will be responsible and reliable for the post of school caretaker and will be working closely with other caretaking staff and the premises manager. The Governors will be seeking the following skills/personal qualities:
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to take the initiative to deal with problems as they arise.
• Practical skills and a pride in high quality work.
• Good people skills with adults and children.
• An understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures would be an advantage.
• Competence in ICT usage for report writing along with diagnostic checks and recording.
The post holder may be called out in unsocial hours or weekends to deal with security problems, and allow access for emergency repairs.
