Olchfa is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Premises team as a Caretaker.
The successful candidate must have an eye for detail and good handyman skills; energy and enthusiasm; excellent time management skills; a pro-active, well organised, flexible approach and able to work on own initiative.
The role will involve ensuring that site facilities are maintained to promote a safe and healthy environment for pupils, staff, contractors and other visitors to the school at all times, which will include acting as key holder; ensuring Health & Safety systems are in place; adhere to requirements including weekly, monthly and termly checks; provide a caretaking service, undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and decoration tasks; developing and managing a programme of planned and preventative maintenance; liaising with contractors, including cleaning staff, and overseeing specialist work, monitoring performance and raising any issues or concerns; some weekend work may be required, which will be paid as overtime.

Monday to Friday (2 shifts on a weekly rotation: 6.30am – 2.30pm and 1.30pm – 9.30pm on Monday – Thursday; and 6.30am – 2pm and 1.30pm – 9pm on Friday)
