The School is seeking to appoint a friendly and committed individual to support the busy Catering Department. The postholder will be able to work effectively within a team supporting with the general cleaning and hygiene of kitchens and front of house as well as assisting with deliveries and ensuring items are stored and labelled correctly. Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene is desirable but full training will be given. Proven experience of working in a catering environment is highly desirable.
Hours of work:
Standard hours of work – Monday to Sunday, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum working the following shift patterns:
06.30-15.15 with a total of 45 minutes unpaid break
08.15-17.00 with a total of 45 minutes unpaid break
09.45-18.30 with a total of 45 minutes unpaid break
11.15-20.00 with a total of 45 minutes unpaid break
Temporary change to working hours - Covid-19 working “bubbles”
Please note that the standard working hours for this role have been temporarily changed to cover the requirements of Covid-19. Therefore you will be required to work the Late shift - Monday to Thursday 2.15pm until 8.00pm and Sunday 8.00am to 3.00pm (Sunday finishing time may vary depending on work load). Hours will reviewed at the end of the October half term and may revert to the standard hours of work (as detailed above). Commitment to the Covid-19 shift pattern will create a “bubble” with the same staff working these hours. However, we reserve the right to change this shift pattern should the need arise due to staff sickness or other unforeseen circumstances. During this temporary change to working hours, you will still continue to be paid your normal full salary.
