Post: Chief Executive Officer, Learning without Limits Academy Trust
Start date: 27th August 2019.
Conditions: Full time and permanent. STPCD applies.
Salary: £113,782 - £119,541
Base: The Lancaster Academy, Leicester
The current and founding CEO of Learning without Limits Academy Trust is retiring this year and the Trustees are seeking to appoint a successor who shares the values and ambitions of the Trust.
The Trust was established in October 2016 with Babington Academy, an 11-16 school in the north-west of Leicester, as the lead school. The Trust has been a Trust of four schools, two secondary and two primary since April 2017. Two of the schools are sponsored academies -The Lancaster Academy (11-16) which is in special measures and Heatherbrook Primary Academy which was sponsored following its third RI judgement. Woodstock Primary Academy is part of our group of schools and we are currently working with South Wigston High School as it becomes an Associate Member of the MAT. We are opening a free school, Leicester Metropolitan Academy, in September 2021. This will be a 1200 place 11-16 school with a strong emphasis on work related learning and vocational education.
All of the schools in the Trust have higher than national average percentages of disadvantaged pupils and we hold fast to our motto ‘I grow, I thrive, I am visible’. Our mission and ethos is to work together for all our schools to be outstanding and for all our learners to grow, aim high and thrive in their ambitions. Our learners will be confident members of our community whose voices are heard and who are prepared to tackle the barriers that may limit them in fulfilling their ambitions. The environment we create will be one that is inspiring, supportive and inclusive. We will build resilient learners with the skills to be responsible citizens, and in doing so, transform life chances in a way that supports positive outcomes for our communities in our city and beyond.
We are looking for a dynamic and suitably experienced candidate who is passionate about improving the life chances of children, especially disadvantaged children, and is someone for whom our values and ethos resonate.
