Education 1st is an Alternative Learning Provision which provides pupils with a personalised package of mentoring and education support. Our young people come to us from a variety of settings with different SEND and SEMH needs. Our mentors and teachers are committed to providing an individualised and inclusive experience for all our students with an emphasis on personal and academic progress within a nurturing and positive environment.
We are looking for a full time, qualified teacher who is inspired to deliver high quality educational provision for the students within our care. The applicant should be confident teaching a diverse range of students from the age of 8 - 18 through small groups or 1 : 1 lessons.
The staff at Education 1st are energised by thinking outside of the box and using their own initiative to create and adapt the support required by each pupil. The young people we work with have significant behavioural, emotional and learning difficulties. You will therefore need to be both a strong teacher, role model and mentor, as well as maintaining a professional and organised attitude at all times.
