The three federated schools are progressing with their exciting journey. The appointed member of staff will be based at Riverbank School; however, the newly appointed person would be employed by the federation.
Riverbank School provides for the needs of 70 pupils, aged 4-11. The majority of our pupils have a diagnosis of either SLD, GLD, ASC or SpLD and can sometimes display multifaceted behaviours.
The governing body are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative teacher that will play an active role in ensuring that Riverbank School contributes towards excellent learning opportunities for all pupils and the Federation becoming a recognised centre of excellence in the development of teaching and learning. Experience of working with pupils who have special educational needs is essential and an appropriate, additional qualification is desirable, e.g. a recognised ASD qualification. Experience teaching in either a SEN setting or within an Early Years Foundation phase environment is desirable.
This is an exciting time within the education sector nationally as well as from a more localised perspective as we await our move into a brand-new state of the art provision. Our teachers are exposed to a comprehensive professional learning package allowing for the opportunity to progress and exceed as a practitioner.
