To fill the post of a one-year maternity cover, we are looking for an:
EXPERIENCED, PART-TIME CLASS TEACHER
for a maternity cover in Y4
Start from November 1st or January 1st at the latest
Level and salary dependent on experience and relevant training, all levels from MPS (SCP 1-6) up to UPS 1-3 will be considered.
Contract based on 13hrs/week, 52 weeks/year, 8:30-15:30 Thursday and Friday. School term follows the Richmond-Upon-Thames school dates. Pro-rated scale on Outer London Pay Scale (M1-6 = £11,966-£16,454 per year; UPS1-3 = £17,023-£18,306 per year including holiday pay); Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
The successful candidate is an experienced, enthusiastic, committed teacher who will join the dynamic Lower KS2 team.
To be able to hit the ground running, the successful candidate will have at least Qualified Teacher status and ideally experience teaching at least one of the primary school phases. Due to strict Covid-19-related social distancing measures currently in place at the school, the selection and recruitment process will take place in various stages. After the shortlisting of application forms, the second stage will involve an interview with two members of the leadership team via video call (Google Meet) and a 30 minute written task to be filled in via an on-line link. Please let the school know if you do not have Internet access or a device so that we can adjust our process accordingly. Successful candidates will be contacted to participate in a further remote session in which they will be asked to engage in an activity with pupils.
