Class Teacher- Maternity cover

From 4th January – 21st December, 2021
We have a vacancy for a dedicated Class Teacher to cover a period of maternity in KS1 in the first instance. We are looking for an experienced teacher with a good knowledge and understanding of KS1 pedagogy and in teaching phonics and early reading. Our aim is to ensure a positive and seamless transition for our pupils and new teacher. The successful candidate will be given the time to settle into their new role and get to know their class, with the support of the existing class teacher for a number of weeks. We offer a personalised plan of guidance and support to those who are new to our incredible school, to help teachers achieve the best for themselves and our children.

We are a happy and hardworking two form entry school based in the North West Leicestershire town of Shepshed. Our school is set in five acres, with a woodland and a newly built Year 5/6 block and sports hall. We are part of a well-established and supportive multi academy Trust: Symphony Learning Trust, which brings many opportunities for our staff.
