We are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Teacher to join our supportive and talented team at The Nest, Snowdon Village Academy. The NEST is a re- engagement nurture-based provision for primary aged students (5-11 years), who are struggling with education in a mainstream setting due to social emotional and or mental health problems. We are a growing organisation, looking for professional, ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
This role is advertised as a FTC until 17 February 2023 (but we may have opportunity to extend your contract to another Snowdon Village setting depending on the need of the Academy).
As an Academy we support flexible working (wherever possible) and are happy to consider applications from teachers who cannot commit to a full-time contract.
We look for passionate individuals who want to be a part of transforming education and will make an active contribution to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and chosen Academy. You will be used to planning and consistently delivering high quality lessons, will have experience in delivering the primary curriculum and will be a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students. A well-qualified teacher, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, you will have the ability to teach Key Stage 1 – Key Stage 2 and EYFS would be desirable. We look for professionals who have excellent class management skills and have high expectations of work and behaviour with a solid understanding of a trauma informed approach.
Your duties will specifically include:
Planning outstanding lessons that meet the needs of all students whilst developing social and emotional skills for all learners.
Monitor and report on the progress of students and take appropriate action to ensure all students achieve their potential.
Meeting the needs of all learners, including those with high levels of additional need.
Recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning.
Empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others.

Snowdon Village is the collective name for the Alternative and Special provision within the CLF. It is made up of The Nest primary setting, Engage revolving door setting accommodating and supporting students from feeder schools for 12 weeks in KS3-4, City School HQ, South and Kingswood and Bristol Futures Academy which supports Year 10 and 11 students to re-engage with their learning and prepare them for the Next Destination which is College, Apprenticeships and Employment.
