Class Teacher
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented ECT/ECT+1 to join our friendly and supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team of educators in this popular, friendly primary school. The successful candidate will be an ECT/ECT+1 who will be able to demonstrate good/outstanding classroom practice and be able to foster excellent relationships with children, parents and staff.

Some Main Responsibilities:
- Plan learning experiences for the class in accordance with national, LA and school curriculum policies and in co-operation with subject and phase leaders to ensure that the children experience a broad, balanced, relevant and stimulating curriculum.
- Ensure a close match between the learning experiences offered and the individual needs of the children in the class, so as to give each child an opportunity to achieve to the maximum of his/her capability.
- Make appropriate educational provision for children with SEN and those learning EAL, with support from the Inclusion Manager, as appropriate.
- Foster each child’s self-image and esteem and establish relationships which are based on mutual respect.
- Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual
- Respect and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using positive behaviour management strategies.
- Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils’ needs inorder to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Participate in any relevant meetings/professional development opportunities at the school,which relate to the learners, curriculum or organisation of the school including pastoral arrangements and assemblies.
- Work as a team member and identify opportunities for working with colleagues and sharing the development of effective practice with them.
