We are looking for an enthusiastic and student centred Class Teacher who specialises in Science. The successful candidate will make an important contribution to continuing to raise standards, set high expectations and provide expertise and passion in equal measures to ensure innovative practice puts the school at the forefront of specialist education and intervention.
We offer excellent Key Stage 2, 3, and 4 provision for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs).
The successful applicant will be someone who can work with our young people to ensure their hard work in science gains the external accreditation and recognition it deserves at the end of KS4. To be part of our team you need to be dynamic, resilient and passionate about supporting students to achieve the skills and qualifications that will open doors for the rest of their lives.
We are looking for someone who has experience of successfully working with students who have complex and diverse needs including SEMH. They will also be able to demonstrate the enthusiasm and tenacity needed to work in a challenging but highly rewarding environment, alongside the highest professional standards in classroom practice.
You may have experience of working with students in a specialised setting, or you may be looking for your first role in an SEN school - you must however be motivated to make a positive difference to our students’ learning journey and care deeply about their academic achievement alongside their wellbeing and personal development.
