Stoke Bishop Church of England Primary School in Bristol is seeking to appoint a cleaner, willing to work as part of our friendly and diligent cleaning team. The role will involve ensuring that our school site is clean and safe, particularly in light of current Covid-19 government guidelines.
The jobholder, under the direction of the Site Manager, is required to carry out all cleaning tasks to predetermined quality standards, in a safe and proper manner observing all Health and Safety, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines, manual handling and security regulations. Experience of cleaning schools is desirable but full training will be given. A willingness to work flexibly to prioritise changing needs in a school environment is essential. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for the successful applicant.
Salary and working arrangements
Working hours are 15 hours per week, to be worked between 3.30 - 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. There are 24 days holiday per annum to be taken in the school holidays (rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service).
The salary is £9.50 per hour (real living wage). This equates to an actual salary of £7,430 per annum.
Start date: as soon as possible.
