Clerk Required for September 2018
Salary range: £11.56 - £13.32 per hour (E20 – E25) on a zero hours contract
(for approximately 700 hours per annum, dependent on the nature of the work arising)
We are seeking a professional, highly organised and self-motivated person with excellent administrative, ICT and communication skills to work as a Clerk to the Governing Body. The Clerk is accountable to the Governing Body, working effectively with the Chair of Governors, the Headteacher and other governors.
The Clerk to the Governors will ensure the smooth running of the Governing Body: preparing agendas and meeting papers, taking and distributing minutes, giving administrative support, keeping records and up to date information on policies and date of reviews, and providing procedural and legislative advice to the Governing Body.
You will need to be very organised, manage your time well, work well under pressure and be confident and experienced at communicating with senior members of staff. Most meetings will take place outside school hours during term time, so a flexible, proactive approach is essential. Apart from attendance at meetings, the job will be home-based.
You are likely to be educated to degree level with strong communication and organisational skills and should be either a Clerk to Governors or able to demonstrate suitable transferable skills
