St Matthew’s Infant School is a friendly and nurturing, one-form entry, semi-rural school set in Downside Village, Cobham. It is a popular, well-loved and respected school that is very much part of the local community. As an outstanding school it is highly regarded and maintains a strong, cohesive team of staff and governors that are dedicated to continually develop and improve. As well as our focus on progress and attainment academically, we help children to develop a growth mind-set and a love of learning through our broad, creative curriculum and imaginative learning environment. Positive learning behaviour and PSHE are a strength of the school and we are a close-knit, caring community of learners.
We are seeking a Clerk to the Governing Body to join our team to provide advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide all administrative support in fulfilling its strategic functions.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic person who would work well as part of the team committed to our school and its governors to ensure efficient running of the school at the highest level.
St Matthew’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS clearance as well as proof of right to work in the UK (required at the time of interview).
The school will endeavour to make any necessary adjustments to the job and the working environment to enable access to employment opportunities for disabled job applicants or continued employment for any employee who develops a disabling condition.
