Mulberry Park Educate Together Academy is part of the Educate Together Multi Academy Trust. The School’s Local Governing Body is looking to appoint a clerk to support them in their work.
Salary range: ET Grade D which is currently £11.15 per hour
Hours: 90 hours per annum.

The post is a part-time position, covering 6 Governing Body meetings per academic year. The clerk is expected to provide 15 hours of support for each of these meetings. Each Local Governing Body meeting is held late afternoon or early evening. Apart from attendance at meetings, the role will be can be carried out from home, at times of the day to suit the post-holder (within agreed deadlines). The post could easily be combined with clerking roles in other schools.
The clerk to the governors is central to the smooth running of the governing body: preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, offering administrative support, keeping records and giving procedural and legislative advice to the governing body. Clerks must have excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills, as well as an ability to take accurate minutes at meetings. To help the successful applicant fulfil their role we expect them to attend all relevant training events and the Clerk’s Network meetings.
