Course Director in Animal Management
FTE 1.0 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£30,500 to £36,329 per annum
Working within our Animal Care department, you will deliver inclusive, responsive and innovative support to learners. The main responsibility of the role is to provide co-ordination and course tutorship for the Department’s BTEC and City & Guilds modules from Level 1 to 3.
These are varied courses with a lot to cover therefore the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate good practical experience of Animal Health, Exotic Management, Animal Feeding & Accommodation or Animal Nursing.
You will have the ability to deliver the curriculum creatively with strong independent organisational skills. You will also have administrative responsibilities requiring the tracking, monitoring and recording of learners work and progress. There will be a substantial marking commitment.
You will have at least a Level 5/6 qualification in Animal Sciences/Animal Health as well as a relevant vocational qualification to Level 3. A minimum of two years’ experience of teaching up to and including Level 5 is essential. As an experienced teacher, you will be flexible and preferably be familiar with the current issues and challenges within FE.
