We are looking to appoint an energetic, confident and enthusiastic individual to join Christ’s College in providing cover lessons across the college.
The Cover Supervisors role is very diverse and different every day. The successful candidate will supervise whole classes when teachers are absent. You will be required to assist students with work provided by the teacher and ensure they remain on task. The cover supervisor is not expected to teach the class and is not required to plan, mark set targets or homework.
This role is for 39 weeks (term time) – 8.30am – 3.30pm.
You should have a good level of education including Maths and English and possess a sound working knowledge of basic IT such as Microsoft products. Excellent communication skills are vital and individual candidates will be considered on the basis of candidates experience and potential.
Desirable qualification would be Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools.
It can be a rewarding role and is also a useful way to gain experience in the classroom for those with teaching ambitions. A candidate with such ambition must possess a Bachelor’s Degree.
