A great opportunity to join the staff at St Julian's School as a Cover Supervisor, fixed term from 1st September 2019 until 31 August 2020.
St Julian's is a thriving, over-subscribed comprehensive school that has an excellent reputation within the local community as a result of quality teaching and constructive support for students. We are a large secondary school with around 1,500 students currently on roll.
We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor, to start working with us from September 2019. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teachers and/or members of the school Leadership Team and within an agreed system of supervision. The person will be expected to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the teacher. The main focus of such cover will be to outline expected tasks and activities for the lesson, respond to questions, assist students to undertake set activities, stay on task and maintain order in the classroom.
The role is offered on a fixed term basis, 32.50 hours per week. The hours of work each day are 08:15 am - 3:15 pm), Monday to Friday.
