Curriculum Coordinator - Maths
College location: John Ruskin College (Croydon)
Salary: Competitive (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time (37 hours/week)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Curriculum Coordinator to join our Maths department.
In this exciting role you will support the Curriculum Manager in co-ordinating and supervising a range of activities and staff in the curriculum area.
You will help organise the efficient day to day running of the department, whilst ensuring that an excellent experience is maintained for all students. You will plan learning programmes for students and guide them through the learning process. You will also carry out staff observations, maintain accurate records, support with timetabling and promote attendance.
Alongside these responsibilities you will also still act as a personal tutor and personally deliver an agreed amount of teaching hours (18 hours weekly).
The successful candidate must have:
A full teaching qualification
The ability to be flexible whilst coordinating and delivering an agreed amount of teaching hours
Extensive teaching experience within Maths delivering both GCSE and Functional Skills
Experience of coaching, training and improving the performance of others (within a supervisory level or above)
Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification
