A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right person to join a supportive team who work collaboratively to contribute to the continued success of the school. The post holder will support the Senior SIMS and Data Officer in a variety of school operations to include a main focus on attendance, however also supporting SIMS processing, analysis reporting, admissions, and general school administration as required.
We are looking for a proactive, flexible individual with the ability to help support with the monitoring and analysis of student attendance; the production of key reports for senior leaders within the school; the completion of the school’s statutory returns; the processing of student admissions and the maintenance of student records. In addition, you will contribute to the smooth running of the school’s administration provision and provide ad-hoc support as needed for the wider school.
The role requires someone with excellent IT skills, experienced in data processing and working with complex spreadsheets. Good organisational skills, along with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to different projects and requests and work to tight deadlines, are essential. The successful candidate will be helpful and approachable with excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and good attention to detail. Experience of working with SIMS would be beneficial but training can be provided. A knowledge and understanding of the education sector or experience of working within a school environment would also be desirable.
This vacancy is ideally full time, 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday and will be term time plus one week to include embargo day and results day in August and the day before the start of the academic year in September, with flexibility for the right candidate.
