Data Protection Officer (Neath College)
The Data Protection Officer will be responsible for advising on compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data protection law, monitoring the Group's adherence to GDPR standards and acting as a point of contact with supervisory authorities and data subjects.
Rate of pay: Scale SO1, Points 32 - 34, £27,997 - £29,855 per annum, pro rata
(Equivalent to £17,025 - £18,155 per annum)
Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week (including evening work and occasional early mornings and weekends).
Contract: Part time, permanent.
Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (initially based at Neath College).
Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have Level 6 qualification in relevant discipline and/or relevant experience. Relevant experience in data protection and administration is essential. You should also hold level 2 qualifications in both English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 3. Experience of working in a customer service environment would be advantageous.
