Due to the retirement of our current excellent deputy headteacher after 22 years dedicated service, Taylor Road School is looked for an equally exceptional qualified teacher to replace her from January, 2019
Taylor Road School is the biggest primary school in Leicester or Leicestershire with 800 pupils.
Salary: Leadership point 18-22, starting on Point 18, £60,755 rising to £67,007 on Point 22 according to annual performance review
The successful candidate will take up their new post from Monday 7th January. The new deputy head will help shape the future of Taylor Road School for the next five years, securing accountability, leading as part of the SMT and strengthening our already excellent parent and community links
This will be a largely non-teaching post and the deputy head will only teach in exceptional circumstances.
The deputy headteacher’s responsibilities will include timetabling and overseeing the development of assessment and record keeping, curriculum and teaching and learning in the school. There are four TLR 2Cs in the school; and they report to the deputy headteacher on assessment, curriculum, SEN and teaching and learning. The deputy head will drive school improvement through these post holders, other curriculum postholders and other staff
