Fairwater Primary School is a lively, happy school offering a stimulating learning environment in a socially diverse area in the west of the City of Cardiff.
Due to the promotion of the Deputy Headteacher, the governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and excellent teacher to work with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership team and continue the school’s improvement journey towards excellence.
We are a vibrant and successful school that values all members of the school community and constantly asks them to strive towards excellence. The governors are seeking an individual who is flexible and forward thinking and can continue the emphasis on improving standards of teaching and learning, The school has recently completed a ‘good’ inspection.
The Deputy headteacher will be able to support the excellent working relationships that exist between staff, governors and parents. The inclusive ethos of the school includes the hosting of a small Well-Being Centre on behalf of the Local Authority that works to integrate children with emotional and social needs back into mainstream schooling.

Shortlisting will take place on 5th October.
The headteacher will contact shortlisted candidates to make arrangements for a lesson observation through video.
Shortlisted candidates will be involved in a selection process on 17th and 18th November via teams.
