Governors seek an inspirational leader to join us at the earliest opportunity, who will ensure the very best learning and achievement of all of our pupils. The successful candidate will have the full support of our senior leadership team as we seek an ambitious, highly motivated and experienced Deputy Headteacher to support the Headteacher to lead the school in the next phase of its exciting journey from ‘Good’ to ‘Excellent’ and make a real impact.
You can expect to lead the delivery and strategic management of a wide portfolio of responsibilities, both academic and pastoral, and the post will provide excellent preparation for Headship. No previous leadership specialism is sought, rather we are looking to appoint the right person to complement our existing senior leadership team.
Hawthorn High School needs an experienced senior leader who is confident leading any aspect of school life, has a broad and positive experience of leadership in a variety of secondary school environments and holds a firm belief that every young person deserves the very best education.
You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, with leadership skills to support others to improve the quality of teaching and learning. You will possess the confidence and capacity to support the Headteacher to build on the tremendous potential for improvement that exists within the school with an attitude that will engage staff, pupils and the wider community.
