Our current Deputy Headteacher is retiring at the end of the Spring Term. We are seeking to appoint a new Deputy Headteacher to support the recently appointed Headteacher (January 2021) to lead the next exciting phase of the development of excellence at The Milford Academy. Milford is a stand-alone academy comprising 420 primary places and a 60-place Nursery, We are a founding member of the Nottingham Schools Trust (NST); an alliance of Nottingham City schools focused on improving education and life outcomes for the City’s children.
Milford’s Staff and Governors are committed to building on our Ofsted judgement (2016) of Good in all areas and we are utterly focused on ensuring that all our children reach their full potential. Even during the challenges of the last year our children continue to make good progress in their learning but we know we can still improve. Our ethos is underpinned by our shared Milford Values of Motivated, Independent, Learning, Forward thinking, Outstanding, Respect and Determination. Our new Deputy Headteacher will join the Headteacher to lead a school where the staff, children and Governors work hard together to ensure we all ‘aim high and achieve’. This is underpinned at all times by a culture of mutual respect and a commitment to celebrating each other’s uniqueness.
We are looking for a new Deputy Headteacher who is already a passionate and dynamic school leader, looking to take the next step and join Milford at a tremendously exciting time, a leader with a proven track record of successfully providing education for the whole child and who is enthusiastic in their determination to drive the Academy forward. We are looking for creativity and enthusiasm in their strategic and operational approach to the distributed leadership of the Academy, with a clear focus on continuous improvement, and a determination to further enhance our ethos, vision and values.
Our new Deputy Head will be skilled in further developing strong staff and leadership teams committed to the pursuit of excellence of all our children and their community; the capacity to foster effective relationships with all our stakeholders is essential.
