The Spinney has high ambitions and a key drive for continuous improvement. It is situated just south of the River Cam, in the thriving university town of Cambridge and within close distance of its historic and cultural centre and all that encompasses. There are 206 children, with wide and varied cultural backgrounds. Their diversity is celebrated as an important part of the school’s inclusive, welcoming ethos. The parents believe in the value of education and support the school and its community, volunteering in class and contributing to the Friends’ association.
Following the recent appointment of a new Headteacher, we are now looking for a deputy Headteacher who will work in partnership with the Headteacher and senior leadership team sharing the vision for the school and making a strong contribution to future developments.
We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
- Can uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviour and professional conduct
- Serve in the best interests of the school’s pupils
- Build and contribute to learning communities with local schools and the LA
- Has a track record of successful leadership and management
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Promotes high standards
- Has proven excellent classroom practice
- Can challenge and inspire others
- Demonstrates initiative and strategic thinking;
