“We believe that all can achieve”
Credwn y gall pawb yn lwyddo”
Teacher of Digital Technology and Computer Science
Full time – Mainscale
Start September/January 2022
We are an oversubscribed 11-18 community comprehensive school in north Cardiff with over 1,600 pupils. We are a truly comprehensive school with outstanding outcomes. If successful, you would be joining an organisation that has achieved and sustained Green status in Welsh Government categorisation since 2018 and continues to improve every year. Our school is a vibrant mix of cultures and backgrounds. We are fully inclusive and run a thriving integrated Hearing Impaired Unit and an Autistic Spectrum Base. Llanishen truly offers an experience for a teacher like no other with opportunities to develop your practice in line with your aspirations.
We run at least 5 GCSE classes in Computer Science and Information Technology in each year group and also a class each in KS5 with the addition in 2022 of a BTEC class in Year 12. The department currently consists of two full time Digital Technology teachers and two part time Computer Science teachers backed up by a network manager.
An ability to offer exceptional online learning would complement the excellent and innovative work that the department has achieved in this area in recent times.
We are looking for a teacher who has a clear commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for pupils of all abilities. This appointment requires an enhanced DBS check.
If you are interested in this post, then please return your completed application form to the school by 9.00 AM Tuesday 12th July 2022.
Llanishen High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
