We are seeking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner, as a new Director of Learning to lead the progression and pastoral care of a Chapter in the Academy. They should have a proven track record of improving attainment and progression for students from all backgrounds and of all abilities. Experience in teaching areas of Maths or Science would be highly desirable.
The Director of Learning will lead on the progression and pastoral care of one Chapter community. The Academy is divided into 3 Chapter communities, Faith, Hope and Charity. These communities contain students in each year group. The Chapter team help to monitor the academic progress and provide pastoral support for each student.
Together with the Head of Chapter and members of the senior team, the Director of Learning will monitor the progression of students and lead on pastoral care of the Chapter in question to ensure the Academy’s students continue to prosper and improve their attainment.
