Our school is growing! Because of this, St James' CE Primary School (part of Sphere Federation) is looking for a full time Early Years teacher to join our team, starting September 2021.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a class with very small numbers - ideal for an early career teacher or someone looking to return to teaching (although we welcome applications from all backgrounds).
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding person who shares our vision of developing this inspiring environment. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice, in such a way that people of all faiths or none are loved, respected and valued. We aim to serve all members of our community by supporting every child. We foster a love of learning, and provide a broad education which addresses the needs of the whole child in order that our children are healthy, safe, happy and successful. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate motivation, enthusiasm, humour, and the innovation that we need as part of our strong and dynamic team. You'll be able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as respond quickly to the changing needs of the school and/or individual children.
For our children, we're a happy and healthy place to achieve and believe. For our staff, we're a happy and healthy place to work. Our school has:
- a perfect balance of care and support with high expectations
- a leadership team dedicated to attainment, achievement and enjoyment
- friendly, welcoming staff
- a great atmosphere and ethos which promotes inclusion and co-operation
- a commitment to diversity and a workforce that reflects the population of Leeds
- a commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare and safety (thorough checks will be made of the successful applicant’s background credentials, including enhanced DBS checks)
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.
The post will involve working closely with other teachers across the phase and across our federation.
The position will be based at St James' CE Primary in Wetherby, although the successful candidate will have a Sphere Federation contract, working alongside colleagues at Scholes (Elmet) Primary and Moortown Primary.
The position is temporary for 12 months (although there is a possibility that it would become permanent).
Closing date for applications is Sunday 04 July at 12 noon.
Shortlisting will take place week commencing Monday 05 July.
Interviews will be held during week commencing Monday 12 July.
