Early Years Teacher
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to initially lead our Specialist Assessment Nursery which could be extended for the right candidate.
We are looking for an outstanding Early Years Teacher on a full time permanent contract.
Lindon Bennett is a Primary Special School with an additional Specialist Assessment Nursery. We cater for children with Severe Learning Disabilities, Profound and Multiple Learning difficulties and some children have an additional diagnosis of Autism. Lindon Bennett School is a slit site school with a site primarily for our Nursery and Reception Pupils.
OFSTED recently rated the school “Good” (Feb 18). Our school is located on two sites, each with specialist support and facilities, appropriate to the age of the pupils. To meet the individual needs of our pupils, classes are small and you will work closely alongside a team of support staff and other teachers.
Are you able to provide our Early Years children with a rich early years experience which is inclusive for all pupils, developing their interests through child led activities which enhance and develop their play skills in a safe, supportive and secure learning environment?
Do you have the knowledge and understanding to teach the children skills to develop their communication, social interaction, self-help and physical skills and allow them to develop these skills in a play based environment linked to our half-termly topics. Are you a positive role model who can demonstrate play and appropriate expectations as you move children’s learning on, adding challenge when needed?
Can you plan to the seven areas of the Early Years curriculum in a fun and creative way which leads on children’s interests?
Can you plan and deliver adult led activities that are motivating and differentiated for all children. Following a multi-sensory approach that aims to develop independence and resilience, whilst developing communication skills?
Do you have a love for outdoor learning as we have many outdoor learning environments with different resources to allow for stimulating, innovating areas that encourage the children to take risks promoting their physical development?
Are you able to work with a range of professionals to support pupils holistic development?
Do you want to be part of a team who are supportive of each other and always put the children first?
Do you want to be part of a team who work closely with parents to support and develop positive relationships as their child starts their education journey?
