As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we are currently recruiting for an experienced and inspiring Educational Heath Care Plan Review Officer to join our Supported Learning department. This exciting opportunity is on a fixed-term basis for 6 months.
You will be working closely with the EHCP Transition officer and the associated teams to liaise with a variety of external agencies to support the transition of learners from schools/colleges into Sandwell College who have high learning needs. This role will require you to follow process but also use your initiative with the demands to ensure that EHCP plans are completed in accordance with SEND reforms and guidance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has a strong understanding of reviewing EHC plans and ensuring outcomes are relevant and achievable
To be successful you must be educated to a minimum Level 3 (preferably in a related field) and have at least GCSE in English and Maths to grade C or above, or equivalent. You will be able to assess complex high learning needs, making judgements to ensure needs are met whilst working under your own initiative.
