Holy Cross primary school is a Catholic primary school, part of the St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
We are looking to recruit an ELSA to support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties to enable them to effectively access the curriculum. Working with individual or groups of children who are experiencing difficulties with emotional literacy or other aspects of school or home life you will plan and deliver motivating individualised programmes of support for children to develop their emotional literacy skills and emotional well-being.
You will be a team player who has a commitment to excellence for all children. You will be flexible, reliable and positive and be a good communicator working with parents, teachers and professionals for the good of the child. You must be enthusiastic and creative, be able to inspire pupils to achieve and be an outstanding team player willing to undertake necessary training and be able to show initiative but also be able to seek or listen to advice.
You will be qualified as an ELSA or willing to train as an ELSA. You will have Literacy and Numeracy qualifications to GCSE or equivalent grade 4 or above. Experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage.
This is a full-time role working term time only plus 5 additional days (usually inset days). These
times include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Your annual salary will be £14818 per annum based on a full-time equivalent salary of £19698. Once qualified your salary will increase to £16402 per annum based on a full-time equivalent salary of £21748.
