Broadstones School Ltd is an independent special school working with up to 15 learners with SEMH needs and an Education and Health Care Plan.
It achieved a Good from Ofsted in the last full inspection in 2019 and provides a high quality of education. The core ethos of the school is to provide a nurture based environment where learners can undertake academic subjects alongside a vocational offer of Alternative Provision. This offer provides a wide curriculum base to engage and motivate learners to re-engage with education and provide a clear route to post-16 pathways.
The majority of students leave with between five and twelve qualifications from Entry Level up to and including GCSE from Edexcel and Gateway in both core and vocational areas. We are a forward looking and innovative school that seeks to transform the lives of the pupils in our care.
The school has also helped develop alternative provision within the organisation to support learners from other schools to attend and gain qualifications in vocational areas as well as an outreach service to work with learners unable to access traditional school environments.
The school is currently applying for nurture school accreditation and has a staff team that are committed to understanding the SEMH needs of learners and adjusting the curriculum and learning accordingly.
The school is looking to employ a qualified teacher of English – you will know how to provide and maintain a positive and enthusiastic learning environment for learners and colleagues alike.
The ability to ensure positive outcomes for children is being delivered at the school. Working in partnership with parents/carers and the community is also an important part of this role and the development of the school.
If you share our determination to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our pupils, we can promise you a collaborative culture, ongoing professional development and ample scope to use your creativity and initiative as part of a highly energised and supportive team.
