We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Student Support Services team within Heart of Worcestershire College..
The purpose of the role is:
· To provide support to the examination process
Applications are invited from people wishing to join our team of invigilators.
Examinations are held throughout the year with January and June being the busiest times. The duration of the examination varies according to Exam Board but are generally not longer than 3 hours (although individual candidates may be allowed extra time under certain circumstances).
Examinations are held in the morning (9:30am start), afternoon (2:00pm start) with occasional evening sessions starting at 6:00pm. Invigilators are asked to arrive at College 30 min before the exams are due to start in order to collect the papers, set up the room etc. Some invigilation will involve just one candidate who has access arrangements but normally it will be for a group.
To be considered for this role you must have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines effective oral/ written skills and patience, tolerance and the ability to work well with culturally diverse teams.
