Founded in 2016 and based on the edge of the Warwick University campus, The National Mathematics and Science College is an elite STEM college, setup to teach a sixth form curriculum focusing exclusively on the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematical subjects. Despite its recent founding, the College has already achieved the incredibly impressive result of placing in the top 10 co-education boarding schools, with 77% of its students achieving A*-A at A-level in 2022, and almost 20% of students gaining a place at Oxford or Cambridge. The College is currently small in size, with about 110 students, however has ambitions to grow to around 150 by the start of the next academic year.
As a result of a recent restructure and the college’s impressive growth strategy, the College is now looking for an outstanding candidate to support the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team in the role of Executive Assistant. The successful candidate will enjoy being part of a very collaborative working environment, with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of college life. This post will be an interesting, varied and exciting combination of duties of which the key responsibilities include:
Providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
Managing and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Managing the ‘operational’ aspects of the school including diaries, staff rotas and the school calendar.
Various ad hoc duties.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a successful career to date in the commercial world or education, providing invaluable administrative support to the senior leadership team of that organisation. Additionally, the candidate will be an outstanding communicator, both written and oral and demonstrate the ability to act as an impressive ‘first line of contact’ for the Principal and the College as a whole. Organisational and the relevant IT skills are additionally important but these will need to be complemented by creativity, flexibility, and a passion for making a difference. Lastly, the individual must demonstrate the desire to participate and assist in driving the ambitious growth of the college over the forthcoming years.
